As long as secure printing is not optional configurable per printer (print with or without QR code per physical printer) the solution unfortunately has no value, as not all users have the necessary hardware to release print jobs.

Thanks for your feedback. We recognize that not all users have the required hardware for secure release. Microsoft is actively addressing this and we will soon enable support for direct printing to the printer share of a printer that participates in pull print.
