Is there a reason that access to the critical updates couldn't be a moderate add-on subscription to the M365 personal / SME subscription?
Even within the wealthiest countries, there are plenty of people, organisations, schools that depend on aged and refurbished computers.
As the Steam survey displays, there are still those trying to get by on Windows 7. I know some still running XP on their primary device.
Out of the 6 computers that I access between work and home, only one is Win 11 capable.
As for the TPM chip 1.2+ that Microsoft has decided is absolutely necessary.
Implementations are still not stable enough.
Any chance that Microsoft could use it's influence to encourage the computer manufacturers to support a method of adding a working TPM processor to a laptop where the onboard TPM has failed?

And the Win 11 blockage, i.e. those TPM 'security processor' chips on Intel-based laptop motherboards, have been a frequent and unrepairable point of failure in our organisation.

The majority of Microsoft software users do not have IT consultants, volume discounts and tax discounts for capital expenditure.
And even Microsoft is unable to keep their customer facing business software up to date with Microsoft changes and technology, so why such refusal to tolerate delay towards individuals and smaller businesses that get trapped on an old critical dependency.
e.g. Microsoft License Advisor https://mla.microsoft.com/ tells me to download the latest version of Internet Explorer 11 when visiting with Chrome (ver 120 current). For over 6 years.
