If Microsoft really wanted to provide a better experience, they'd turn this key back into the Ctrl key, which is actually useful, and allow people who don't use the Ctrl key to opt in rather than completely removing the option of having a working keyboard.

    Good lord, this.  Having to contort my fingers to hit hotkeys for half the keyboard now is ridiculous.  And Microsoft is forcing hardware vendors via legal agreements to NOT allow it to be rebound (as I was just told by ASUS support) is icing on the cake.  What trash.
