This post proves Windows 11 is just a mistake. It should not exist in the first place if it is not that different.
I suggest microsoft to give up windows 11 to just start windows 12.
Features i suggest microsoft SHOULD do.
1. S/P mode toggle at login in windows 12, NOT A SEPERATE S MODE VERSION OF WINDOWS 11. The S mode windows is bs. Forcing Walled Garden on us is a bad idea. Stop learning Apple and Google for their mistakes and this is exactly i hate ios and android.
A S/P mode toggle would be a much better idea and the s mode designed for touch interfaces and store apps only.
2. Stop forcing users for doing things like forcing TPMs or forcing Edge. Yes i use Edge even on this Arch Linux machine and Android and even VR, but forcing Edge isn't going to help.
3. We need windows 12 on phone with win32 apps capabilities (like i mentioned S/P mode). The major issue here is that Edge only has 0.3% of marketshare on mobile. Even back in winphone era with 1% marketshare, it would increase the marketshare of Edge to 1% on mobile. It does not look like a great number, but it is 3x more marketshare than Edge has today.
4. Microsoft needs to give up msvc and moves to clang-cl just like you did by switching edge to chromium. This would allow LLVM's security features to be applied to windows like ARM MTE. It is impossible for msvc to deal with things like Cuda etc.
Windows on Riscv and Windows on Loongarch support would also be possible
5. We need a new calling convention for Windows x86_64, i suggest to name it wincall to deal with std::span issue.
We are sick of android and ios's walled garden. We hope microsoft returns to phone market with win32 capabilities.
