David_Swenson we are looking into what additional data we can provide for all driver updates, hopefully something like the device model field you can see in the update catalog, to help with identifying what each driver update is for. Otherwise, other drivers are either older-than-the-latest-recommended or updates marked as optional by the driver publisher. A driver that was recommended and approved can move from the recommended tab to the other tab when a newer recommended driver is released.
Henrikcj , the key thing is that the device needs to scan for updates from Windows Udpate on the web. DisableDualScan is being replaced by the individual scan source policies... so in general, don't Enable the DisableDualScan setting, and use the scan source policies if you want to have some update types from WSUS/Configuration Manager, and some (like Drivers) from Intune and Windows Update. Other policies that can cause issues include firewall settings and such. We do have a section in the documentation that touches on this at https://aka.ms/IntuneDriversDocs and if I can add anything to make that clearer or more helpful, that would be great.
Ian55 It would be pretty unusual to not have any driver updates available. It sounds like you are successfully scanning Windows Update, which is important. We do include a box in the docs that points out you want to leave the drivers setting in Update Rings to Allow. If you set it to block, you can see drivers in Intune and approve them, but the client will ignore them. Another thing to check is that all the devices you've assigned are AADJ or HAADJ... WPJ isn't supported. If that's not it, let me know, via DM if you can, and we'll look at a bit more.
ScrJeff and David_Swenson, I really appreciate the feedback. We are looking into how we can integrate a bit better with TVM and it's not simple or straightforward at this time. We are working on some reports for Intune for Quality Updates that will show how many devices are currently on the latest versions and how many are older for similar information like you showed in a screenshot... and we've started to think about how we might do something similar for Drivers. Adding history graphs is also something I'd like to do.
IndiaYankee it sounds like you should be configured correctly for client telemetry. Two other things to double-check is that the telemetry level setting on those devices is set to required or full and there is a setting named DisableOneSettingsDownloads that, if set, would also prevent devices from sending the needed telemetry. If that's not it, please let me know, via DM if you can.
Thank you, everyone!
