Hi Eric_Vernon , thanks for this. I would like to request a fix be implemented to force Windows Update to respect the NoAutoUpdate registry key on Windows 10 Home systems (found in Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate\AU ). I use my system for both leisure and work-related content. Unfortunately, despite setting this registry key, today Windows Update decided to completely lock up my computer just minutes before starting my day. The desktop became fully unresponsive for several minutes, other programs were unable to open, and my OS drive has been running at 100% activity for over an hour as Windows attempts to install the un-requested KB5031356. This level of personal intrusion and productivity loss is completely unacceptable. I would humbly request that power users of Windows 10 Home be given the option to permanently disable Windows updates via registry for the sake of critical productivity. Thank you very much for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Adam Janz
