rocifier Viruses have been out since the DOS TSR days and aren't going away, and this printing hole has been around for years! Lets be glad printer drivers aren't in the "Ring 0" or Kernel anymore or god know what could be exploited!
LTS is subjective, XP was\might actually be still in support for ATM's and banking & government but that may have expired...
For us, we actually hold 2016 licenses never deployed for these 2003 servers and now are in a scramble to upgrade them.
I don't need a MS rep or anyone else other then an hourglass with more sand or a regfix so I can "comply". (ie Print)
They should of forced this on Windows 11 and not Windows 10 mid\end stream - this is my issue... force SMB 4, TLS, "Secure Printing" and everything new moving forward and help secure the world, but you NEVER break backward compatibly within a product version\lifecycle.
