MicrosoftAs a surveillance equipment installer, I really wish I had the right to keep on using IE for NVR configuration.
I just lost more than 20 minutes on a site today because in the process of trying to access a site that had the wrong IP (meanwhile I didn't have internet access), as I tried to use IE, Edge opened instead with an error message and keep showing the same error in a loop whatever I selected. I had to change my IP settings back, then close and open Edge again, to access the settings, add the IP used on this site to the IE mode list, then change my IPs again to be able to use it.
Major loss of time, and I'm sure the same thing will happen on a lot of installs/service calls I'm gonna make.
I guess I'll have to install Win7 or Win10 on a dedicated notebook, and disable windows update completly.
ps:My equipment is always configured on web port 87, which is something banned in Edge. AND those sites uses a component that only works in IE.
