Hi debi36-666 ,
IE mode in Microsoft Edge relies on an underlying installation of IE Trident engine so when we retire the IE11 desktop app the engine will still be present on the device but users will not be able to open and use the IE11 browser application.
There's a couple of ways you can mimic this within your environment without uninstalling or removing IE. First, you can use the DisableIE policy which will disable the application from opening without removing the engine from devices. This approximates the experience after IE11 retirement. The second option is to set up IE mode and test your sites on Windows 11. Windows 11 does not come with the IE11 desktop app but the engine is still available to run IE mode in Edge.
