wroot, JohnSena, Tommo720 - thank you for the comments above. I want to respond here to the comments related to who might use Autopatch, "how is this different than WUfB?", and a few other comments that I think are getting at the unique value is of Windows Autopatch:
1) Windows Autopatch uses WUfB as part of our tech solution to keep devices and managed apps up-to-date. In fact we use other Microsoft services too, plus some unique code that we write.
2) You can think of Windows Autopatch as the IT administrator for update management. Just like how an individual customer might use System Center Configuration Manager's Software Update Management feature or Windows Intune's equivalent feature to manage updates on a devices, with Autopatch we (Microsoft) perform most of these administrative tasks so a customer admin doesn't have to. This covers activities such as, but not limited to, setting up and maintaining how updates are deployed, detecting and reacting to issues, mitigating incidents and reporting on compliance.
