Recently installed a new unmanaged device with Windows 11 23H2. The original computer had Windows 10 22H2. The ability to restore settings from the Windows 10 &device from MSA cloud backup worked well an even transfered start screen from Windows 10 to 11. So for cloud and MSA adapted users it's a breeze.
But how about "unmanaged" Windows 11 business devices:
- Will the IPU retain the start screen and other OS settings
- Will the IPU enable all security settings like Core Isolation, Application and Browser :Control, SMART screen and other Edge Security settings, Storage Sense, Delivery Optimization etc?
- Will Microsoft Terminal become the default console?
- How about managing winget?
- Do you have a GPO transitioning guide?
- When will be the best time to transition the Windows 10 22H2 central store admx policies to Windows 11 23H2?
- How can admins manage a fleet of Windows 10 and 11 due to the fact of having only one version in central store?
