That is so typical. I mean: we all use Microsoft products here; otherwise we wouldn't be interested in this blog post. Some use them because they like the Microsoft ecosystem. Others because they have to.
But this persistent "shove it down your throat" approach of the last few years makes even the last one doubt.
Why is Microsoft doing this?
In our case, we have tested Windows 11 with good will - again just a few weeks ago - and simply can't use it productively at the moment!
Our most important software is still not even close to being as powerful as under Windows 10, which in our case means that complex and expensive live productions can fail.
All domain managed with GPOs and "safe". Until now.
Don't you think we know ourselves what is suitable for our purposes? No?
That also gives us an extremely negative taste of Copilot. Currently (you can see it in the new Outlook app) the "AI" is being used to make even more confusing advertising nonsense appear on our screens.
