Thanks for replying JaySimmons !
I'm not sure if this is possible, but for such a one-man-army project like this, a public preview could help gather feedback, smooth some rough edges, fix some bugs etc. before shipping, and alleviate some of the workload and stress. The community (especially IT pros and Group Policy/AD MVP) would be glad to help. I think someone suggested a GitHub project - could be a nice thing (if resources are allocated to manage it ofc). Maybe for future updates of this feature ?
I'm glad Microsoft choose to elevate the security posture of the whole industry, and allowed the new LAPS to be deployed on all SKU, including LTSC. I suggest to add a small note on LAPS release notes : all currently supported LTSC SKU benefits from Windows LAPS (that would be LTSC Enterprise/LTSC IoT Enterprise build 1507,1607,1809,21H2). That's an awesome choice, make it more visible to everyone, you fully deserve it 🙂
I guess that would also apply to Server Core as well ? Let me know if you get some feedback about it.
I heard you on tooling, and understand you can't promise anything. But without updated tooling, it's gonna be difficult to evangelize this feature. WAC still being officially supported and Azure-friendly should help. Please keep us updated if you hear anything.
Once again, hats off to you. I'm off to start multiple Legacy LAPS ->Windows LAPS migrations in the coming months, I'll keep posting feedback on the way.
