Mark_Heitbrink Clarification: I was talking after a task after windows updates, so I am clearly only talking about that, not 3rd party admx files, Office ADMX etc.
And as I said, all except 8 files are the same age or newer on sysvol.
Generally ADMX files are extra packages that have to be downloaded and copied to sysvol. Would you know of any other Windows update copied new ADMX files to C:\Windows\PolicyDefinitions? I read release notes and many blogs and it never occured to me once in 25 years of working with Windows. And with only a handful of newer files compared to sysvol since 2018(!), this seems not to be standard.
LAPS' distribution method of ADMX files did not only surprised me. Also it only offers en-US adml files, which is not a problem for me, but there are already articles that de-DE adml are not provided on German language DCs.
