This is just typical of Microsoft. No thought given to enterprise customers who are using a feature, deprecate a feature that works well and replace it with something that absolutely doesn't or is just way more complex and/or needs more licensing. There was no proper notification. You get an alert saying that WIP WITHOUT ENROLMENT is being deprecated, which is fine because it never worked in the first place, but for MDM managed devices it worked great, blocks corporate data being used in apps I don't want it to be, stops copy and paste between apps that aren't managed and allowed me specify allowed websites or IP ranges. Simple and effective. So instead of building on that and allowing you filter out devices like MD joined VMs for example, what did you do? Binned the whole thing, refused to support issues where apps that aren't meant to be protected inexplicably get protection and tell us to use a feature that doesn't do what we need it to, still shows as in PREVIEW and has no way of importing existing policies so you have to start from scratch. Not blaming the author and just having a good whine but this is infuriating. When you're not messing about with creating yet another portal, changing the name of something for no good reason or pissing about with stuff that doesn't work could you spare a thought for the companies who rely on you to protect their data? Oh, and if you're not too busy maybe you could fix sysprep since that hasn't worked since Windows 10 and the launch of store apps. Or is that due to be deprecated too?
