Johannes81NL LGDonna We are rolling out the new unified Teams app which supports work, school and personal accounts in the same, single app. And with this Teams app, you should be able to join any Teams meeting unless specifically blocked by policies.
The unified Teams app has been made available for all users on Windows 10 and Mac, and we are in the process of releasing it to all Windows 11 users as well.
If you are forced to join a Teams meeting in browser, you can try forwarding the meeting invite to your Teams account so that you can join the meeting from within the Teams app (from Calendar). Alternatively, you can ask the meeting organizer to send you the meeting link in a Teams chat so you can join the meeting by tapping the meeting link in Chat (again, from within the Teams app).
This sounds awfully complicated, but when the rollout of the new unified Teams app is complete on all desktop platforms, including Windows 11, you can open any Teams meeting in the Teams app (and choose which account to use for the meeting) or alternatively in browser. We expect everything to be rolled out in the next couple of weeks.
Hope this clarifies the current options and stay tuned for more updates on the Teams Insider Blog!
