I agree, it looks like a virus total issue. It seems there are artifacts in the sandbox VM they use that are creating false positives.

Thank you, false positives are a separate pain, yes, but here we are talking specifically about false indications of network connections that are generated by anything (sandboxes, antiviruses, Sysinternals, the operating system), but not by the app itself :(
