Echoing SurfKansas, is there any way to roll back to the previous version of Microsoft Whiteboard?
Since the update, our Whiteboard experience on the Microsoft Surface Hub has been one of frustration and complaints from the end users.
We've noticed that the following features we had become reliant upon have been removed:
- Multi-touch to Ink - the Surface Hub registers multiple touch points, but only the first point of contact inks
- Multi-pen to Ink - the Surface Hub only registers the first pen to make contact with the screen
- Ink to text - ink is no longer being transcribed into text
- Ink to table - inked lines do not automatically create a smart table
- Image to ink - cannot convert images into manipulatable ink objects
- Invite to Whiteboard - cannot invite people ad-hoc into a Whiteboard session; instead a link is generated and sent that more often than not doesn't work.
As a result of the reduced functionality of the Surface Hub compared to what was advertised and available when we made the acquisition, our users are rather upset especially given how much we had spent for the digital whiteboards.
