Great article. I've just upgraded from a Surface Book 3 to a SLS2 and it's been a HUGE jump in performance. The thermal profile is so much improved. I did my first gaming session with my godsons last night and it's the first time the laptop has been pushed to the limits, and it's also the first time I've heard the fans kick in (from my usual developer workload), and it certainly can get loud / push large plumes of hot air! But I was impressed how quickly the laptop cooled within minutes of finishing.
I'd love more deep dive articles like this - specifically - why 2 GPUs? What does the NPU do? Why the bumps on the F4, F8 and Power keys? How is Windows Hello *so* much faster than on my previous Surface Book 3?
