Introducing Edge and Miracast on Surface Hub 3
This is an ABSOLUTE DISASTER and an insult to every customer who invested in the Surface Hub platform.
The excitement over "Introducing Edge and Miracast" is completely disingenuous. You are celebrating bringing back basic, mandatory functionality that existed perfectly well on the old OS, and even then, Miracast is still "coming by the end of 2025" for a device that's supposed to be ready now!
We didn't buy a $10,000+ collaboration device to wait a year for a wireless screen share feature that my cheap dongle already handles perfectly.
Where is the HDMI ingest functionality? The core ability to walk in and plug in a device without Teams, without workarounds, and just collaborate. You stripped out fundamental capabilities and delivered a Teams Room experience that is actively worse than the Windows 10 Team edition it replaced.
And the sign-in experience? Kiosk Mode and InPrivate browsing are not solutions! Users need the ability to quickly and securely sign in, see their personal meetings, access their OneDrive files, and utilize a proper desktop experience for complex tasks. Locking us into a heavily sanitized, anonymous interface neuters the device's potential.
This isn't an "evolution of hybrid collaboration"; it's a massive step backward that shows a staggering disconnect from how businesses actually use these devices. You need to pull your engineering teams together, restore Miracast, HDMI Ingest, and proper personal sign-in functionality immediately, and stop treating your loyal enterprise customers like beta testers for half-baked software. FIX THIS ASAP.
