I'm sorry to hear Web Edition is being discontinued.  I've had a fairly poor experience with price to performance ratio of Azure SQL Databases thus far, so I'm not sure I'll elect to move in that direction if I'm looking to reduce SQL costs while considering upgrades and transitions. The discontinuation of Web Edition might make PostgreSQL a more appealing alternative to SQL 2025 for me, but we'll see.
