Thanks for all of your hard work to get this delivered.
I have managed to install and happy to use and the fact that its finally here after long wait but. I have two questions:
1- Forgive my ignorance on this, Im a part of company that uses office 365 and we have Copilot rolled out as part of every Microsoft application(word, excel, outlook, sharepoint...etc.) I dont remember when using the Copilot there that I had to connect to a model endpoint. Why cant I use the same Copilot comes integrated as part of office 365 ( I think it uses GPT 4.0)
2- I was disappointed that the Copilit is not well integrated with the SQL Management Studio (kind of like windsurf experience) where it can connect to to the DB and read the schema of a table or create new objects, dbs...etc. Do you have any plans to make the SQL Copilot more integrated with the management studio vs copy\paste?

Microsoftsamsal7879 SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) is not part of Microsoft Office, and does not fall within Office 365 licensing. Copilot in SSMS has a different architecture and currently uses an endpoint in Azure OpenAI. We are taking feedback on our site (aka.ms/ssms-copilot) about support for other licensing (e.g. GitHub Copilot). With regard to your second item, Copilot in SSMS can read the schema and create new objects through the chat window. I think you are specifically asking for inline integration in the query editor. We do have plans to make that available, I don't have a timeline for that yet.
