Mark-Kashman What about performance best practices?
Performance is key for user experience. That is why I rely on article https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/office365/enterprise/introduction-to-performance-tuning-for-sharepoint-online to deliver the best possible experience to users. The very first best practice article referred to is https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/office365/enterprise/navigation-options-for-sharepoint-online I cannot find any information about the new Mega Menu here, and as far as I know Mega Menu relies on structural navigation? Which:
is NOT a recommended navigation option in SharePoint Online. This navigation provider was designed for an on-premises topology has limited support in SharePoint Online. While it provides some additional set of capabilities versus other navigation options, these features, including security trimming and site structure enumeration, comes at a cost of excessive server calls and impacts scalability and performance when it is used. Sites using structured navigation that consume excessive resources may be subject to throttling.
I really like the Mega Menu and I am hoping to find feedback on these best practices here.
Thanks!
