PriitV, in this current release, any data stored in SharePoint, OneDrive, or EXO will be recoverable. Tying in Teams chats or any other content stored on Teams servers is on the roadmap and will come at a later date. We know this is very important and is high on our priority list.
LowellP, to address your three questions:
- The backup frequency will be 15-minutely for OneDrive and SharePoint for the first two weeks; that will shift to weekly for Sites and daily for files (if a file changes) after the first two weeks. For Exchange Online, changes will be captured with 10-secondly granularity meaning that any changes that happen faster than that will not be backed up.
- The charge model will be announced at public preview.
- We store the backups in multiple geographic locations to provide our recovery SLAs an ensure we are not impacted by regional outages. This data is guaranteed to live within the geographical locations dictated by a customer's geo-residency requirements as well, which is a key value proposition to some location-sensitive customers.
