We are excited to announce our latest update to the Teams Emergency Operations Center, Version 2!

If you have not yet heard about this solution, The Microsoft Teams Emergency Operations Center (TEOC) solution template leverages the power of the Microsoft 365 platform to centralize incident response, information sharing and field communications using powerful services like Microsoft Lists, SharePoint and more. An open-source solution supported by Microsoft, it provides core functionality out of the box or can be extended to meet specific agency requirements.

Version 2 brings many enhancements directly from your feedback leveraging the solution, these updates include:

Microsoft 365 Government Support

Now available and supported within the Government Community Cloud (GCC), Government Community Cloud High (GCC High), and Azure Government deployment environments.

Active Dashboard (for each incident)

Central point for viewing and identifying role assignments and sending announcements to the team. Also provides the ability to start and stop Teams meetings (meet now) for bridge calls, as well as the ability to centrally manage, assign and act on tasks for an incident.

Expanded assets during deployment

During incident creation you can now add guest users to the incident, customize and save defaults for channel names, as well as provide a link to designate a cloud storage location for centralized documentation needs.

Dashboard role-based access

Ability to control access to the TEOC dashboard based on admin or view only roles. When enabled control the ability to manage and create incidents by assigning admins through the designated list, while all non-named users will receive view only access.

Lead assignment for Roles

Assign and designate leads for different role groups so team members can identify lead role contributors.

Core Component Updates

Hi all I just came across the TEOC and I am wondering if the MSFT dev team has a list of organizations that have successfully deployed it in local government.   My IT team is currently investigating the solution but they would like to understand a bit more about successful deployments.  A reply would be appreciated. ty!

Implemented this in-house for testing and Currently undergoing some help with community where we are experiencing incident creation.  Managed to implement successfully and looking to provide this to our customers. It appesrs to work sometime and have a lot of potential with correct support. It worked fine for few days and now we ran into some issues. I am looking forward to roll out this in production

I recently adopted the TEOC plugin and really think there is a lot of potential to support my emergency operations. I am only basically familiar with SharePoint and more advanced Teams functions so some of the modifications and automations are proving to be challenging. The first modification I'd like to make is to modify the standard list of channels that are created when an incident is created in the plugin. The second issues is related to automation. I'd like a set of files to be added to channels when the team is created. For example, I have a document library created with a set of job aids for my Operations Section that I'd like to be added to the Operations channel when it is created.

Is it possible to do these things? If so, how can I do this?

I'm curious if this is a supported solution as if I have issues with it can I open a Premiere Support ticket with Microsoft to assist?
