The truth is that we continue to work on a product that Microsoft no longer cares about - we have become dinosaurs of a product that is completely stuck in time. Just look at the fact that there are no more local salespeople, consultants, and the PPM partner program no longer exists - the trend is to sell Azure and Microsoft365.
Microsoft's strategy is very confusing and confuses customers a lot (Project Online, Project for the web, Planner, New Planner, To do, etc.). It's very confusing.
Project management must not be profitable for Microsoft, but here in Brazil we see Monday, Zoho, ClickUp, ServiceNow, Clarity and others starting their operations, while Project has been stuck in time for years. We say that Microsoft has left Project in "zombie mode" - which is a shame. If Project is the best option for any company, I have many doubts about that. Sorry Brian, I know you've been in this rodeo for many years and love what you do (as do I), but this is the painful reality.
