Planner to Project experience: Try Project, import Planner plans, and monitor usage
I'm talking about the timeline feature, presented here, in Planner.
My It tech and I executed tests and so far we have notice that the time feature is available only to those who don't have a Project licence.
So, I have a Project Plan3 Licence, therefore, when I go on my Planner, I do not see the Timeline Feature.
My tech as no Project licence whatsoever and he does see the Timeline Feature on his Planner.
He even tested the feature, so basically it's an more of a marketing tool to get you to pay for the Project Licence, but it let you import your planner in project and you have a free trial of 30 days.
And now my tech is in communication with Microsoft, and the employee were talking to isn't aware of this integration and suggest to export/import the data from planner to project with excel. Fun! haha ...
