In time for Ignite 2021, the Microsoft Project team wants to share the following:

  • The Microsoft Project & Microsoft Planner blog & video – Over the next 12 months, the experiences for Project and Planner will be brought closer together to provide you and your team a more seamless way to work. Learn more about the recent and upcoming feature releases, plus view the video that will walk you through these capabilities.

  • Nice work TonyStark "What about a "My Tasks" view that spans all projects? It has been on the roadmap for two years....". And you got a response of Brian Smith  saying it's coming. That's the most progress on the most wanted feature in two years.

Brian Smith  how can you say it's coming when it's not on the planned releases? Is there some bait and switch coming where we will have to buy dynamics to consolidate our tasks.

    The functionality existed in 2012...

I've literally just signed in here to ask this exact same question?  Where is the integration with My Tasks?  This stuff is so simple.   'PM'ing' should be as light weight as possible...let me set the tasks across multiple projects and give my team the easiest, most central route to see and update that task.

You must use your own software and see how crippled it is on day-to-day level?

We have alternatively fixed this via Power Bi on P4W with a link to the project & task. Works fine, but I agree that an integration with My tasks (from ToDo, Planner and Project) would be great.

  • Brett O'Hanlon in the video Cathy says (at 9:20) "Soon, Project tasks will flow into the Assigned to You list in the Task in the Teams tasks app".  You won't have to buy anything else.  I'd expect this item will get added to the public Roadmap soon.  Normally items that will roll out in the next 2-3 months are already there.

  • Brian-Smith any news on when soon would be? It's been close to 3 months and there still isn't anything on the public Roadmap. The feedback from Margaret S. is the feature is being considered rather than pointing to anything that is being released?
