So, following up on my comment above, apparently the feature was added (assigned resources can mark tasks as complete) but it just didn't make the May blog post?

I just tested it out in my office, with someone who doesn't hold any MS Project license, and he was able to mark an assigned task as done.

Microsoft Project Team , did it just not make into the May blog announcement?

Microsoft Project Team Bring the coloured buckets to Planner!!

Why arent these two apps the same UI with slightly different features (i.e. resource planning, etc)? They are essentially the same application and do the same thing though with slightly more capability in Project. This also needs to be carried over to Teams Tasks!

That feature has been postponed a few times already, don't have your hopes up on it being released before the summer.

    I'd expect mid-fall, the earliest....

What happened to this? Is this feature still being rolled out? I'm a PM with Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories and we were making plans around the availability of this, starting by the end of May.

Microsoft Project: Allow Microsoft 365 users to provide progress updates on their assigned tasks

Users with Microsoft 365 licenses can mark their Project for the web tasks complete and change the percent complete for their tasks, without a Project license.
