I agree with previous comments.  MS project has been the go-to application for project scheduling for at least the last 20 years when you don't need the full power of P6.  Project for Web is nowhere near being ready to replace MS Project as a lightweight CPM scheduling tool.

  • Hi people!

Microsoft was very intusiastic in the annoucement of Project for The Web.

Based on the power platform, it was hyped as the future of project management in the Microsoft environment.

Now we realized that implementation of important features are being neglected, leading us to think if Microsoft is slowly abandoning the product.

Sad if it is true, because we were very excited to have a Microsoft environment integrated, easy to use tool for project  management and now we are realizing that its held back.

We are now evaluating third party tools to replace it.

RHayes10 You are 100% on point.  The product seems very early in it's lifecycle with not a ton of development to show a significant future.

Cant use this product until it has more advanced dependencies, so all the other features you are adding are not usable until this is done. Like upgrading the suspension and wheels on a car when it has no engine. This pushes entities to get more entrenched on competitive product because its not usable in current state. I work for a Fortune 500 company.

  • Hi!

Where can I check for future features being developed?

Very insterested in more advanced task dependencies.

    Thank you!
