Unleashing the power of agents in Microsoft Planner
I'm curious if with Loop being embedded into the projects / tasks if that would be a way to add comments / notes and at tag users.
Yes - for tasks where there is a Loop you can use mentions in the Loop component. The mentioned user will get a notification that will direct them to the Loop page where they were mentioned.

So you get notifications via email with Loop (vs Teams correct)? Will that then take you to a browser window where the loop component is opened separate from the project task or will it take you back to the task / plan and open the loop component from there?

Yes, the user will be notified via email with the Loop page in it. Clicking on the email notification will direct the user to the Loop page, not the planner task. Every task is backed by a separate loop page and all loop pages for a given plan are aggregated under a Loop workspace. The Loop workspace has a link to the Planner plan, clicking on that will open the plan.
Similarly within a plan, users will notice a loop icon at the top which will direct them to the Loop workspace for the plan, capturing all the individual loop pages.
This way a plan and it's associated Loop workspace are linked, and users can navigate between the two easily.- CourtBodaNov 27, 2024Iron Contributor
