I was intending to upgrade to Planner Premium today, however:
- I was not able to figure out how to do it. The instructions provided here https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/planner/plan-conversion don't work
- When I compared the basic plan to the premium plan using the chart here https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/compare-microsoft-planner-basic-vs-premium-plans-5e351170-4ed5-43dc-bf30-d6762f5a6968 I found that many useful functions in the basic plan don't work in the premium plan.
Why on earth would you create a premium version that doesn't retain the same functionality as the basic version and add functionality? If, for example, I upgrade to premium, I can't see tasks in schedule view, in Outlook, or add plans to Loop? Are you kidding???
What I was really looking for was Gantt chart functionality. For now I've decided to stick with basic, export it to Excel, and us the Gantt chart views in Excel. It isn't optimum since I can't easily create dependencies, but oh well.
I really wish you guys would figure this out. Do you ever ask your users for their inputs?
