We wanted to share two major updates:
- We just rolled out a fix for the main issue several of you encountered, where you weren't able to access the new Planner app when choosing the Teams Public Preview path (referred to Path 1 in our previous message). If your admin already followed the initial steps, the new Planner App should now be available for you (except for mobile apps). If you did not yet join Public Preview, and you'd like to try it, you can have your admin follow these steps to gain early access to the new Planner app in Teams Public Preview.
- We investigated the second issue that some of you were encountering for the Targeted Release - Select User path. With help from our amazing Teams and Targeted Release contacts, we identified the root cause. All tenants located in the EMEA(Europe, Middle East and Africa) Geography who chose the "Targeted release for select users" option are impacted by the following changes to our telemetry system: Microsoft announces the phased rollout of the EU Data Boundary for the Microsoft Cloud begins January 1, 2023 - EU Policy Blog, which blocks those tenants from getting early access to new Features in Teams. Targeted Release and Teams contacts are working on a plan to get these tenants back into a working state, but there is no ETA yet. Please expect an update via the Targeted Release channel from them soon. If you do not want to wait for a fix for this, and want to try the new Planner App, you can work with your admin to setup the Teams Public Preview path. This should not be impacted by the telemetry changes mentioned above. Thanks, EugeneNELL for helping us troubleshoot this issue.
