SEE UPDATE BELOW - I've corrected my criticism so as to be fair to MS.
I've signed up to free trial, happy even to pay for a couple of months to try get it to work to something worthwhile, but it doesn't work.....
I signed up, and even 4hours post signing up to Project Plan 1 for the premium license, it is not working.
I select new plan, then a premium template option (Note that it is not introducing the capabilities yet into any of our many many planner plans across the organization) and I can't use the premium version of the templates on offer because I need to: select 'start free trial' (which I did 4 hours ago), when I do it still says 'Subscription needed, To create a plan, you'll need to ask your IT admin for a Microsoft 365 subscription' (Which was completed 4 hours ago). So if I go to Admin, look up my licenses you can see I am now signed up to Project Plan 1. But Nothing works.
It is not a good look at all... it's beginning leave a bad quality feel about it.... [UPDATE BELOW]
It is now working all functions going good. But it has those major Microsoft flaws - there is always that missing 30% that make MS products a huge disappointment and makes them poor quality and inefficient to use. And so then unlike its been advertised, IT IS NOT A UNIFIED EXPERIENCE.
The premium planner plans & tasks can not be found in 'Planner', nor Microsoft 'To-Do'. None of the tasks from premium can be found here. Then there is the new Teams 'Planner' app. The tasks from Planner Premium do not appear in today, nor tomorrow or earlier nor anywhere else. But you can find the Premium plan you created or imported, select it and use them in Teams planner app, but they are not available to your "My Day" planning process in any app method, to include in your planns for the day to cover off task coming in from everywhere and anywhere in the 365 environment. NOTE: Thats for me signed up to a trial license. It is worse for the team around me who do not have planner premium = Project plan 1 license yet. This is worth maximum $2 per month extra per user as it is in its current form.
If they could UNIFY IT as we were lead to believe, like PROVIDE ACCESS to Premium tasks FROM PLANNER APP & To-Do APP, + FREE UP SOME BASIC FUNCTIONALITY FOR THE TASKS FROM PREMIUM PLANS FOR THE NON-LICENSED USERS, it would be worth $10/month. Maybe we would be happy with $15/month.
Once again another promising product from MS that's proving a huge disappointment.
