For anyone who does not know, any plan created under 'My Tasks' has board functionality disabled. Because Microsoft.
The elephant in the room (imo) is task level integration with MS Project. They created the button in Project but forgot to add the actual feature. Why hard code a permanent reminder? Are they not aware that a user can create their own hyperlinks since that is all the button does? It beggars the imagination.
I would consider paying for premium but to do so while MS continue to ignore this critical gap is a pretty tough pill to swallow. On principal I don't think I can do it.
