Premium plan tasks are now available in the My Tasks view in the new Microsoft Planner

What are the options for adjusting notifications for the new Planner in Teams?

Although I am very happy about the long-awaited P4W tasks in an Assigned to Me view, I'm not necessarily pleased that Microsoft built the new Planner into Teams. If I get a red notification bubble on my Teams icon for chats AND tasks, I am going to find that confusing and annoying. I personally wish that Microsoft would've utilized the To Do app for the new Planner (what happens to that app anyways?). That way I can have my Teams chats in one window, my Planner in another window, and two separate notification systems so there is no confusion on if I need to respond to a message or if its just a task notification.
