When creating a new Microsoft Team, doesn't it automatically create a Planner. Before this change, to be able to view the existing plans in teams the team owner would need to open the Planner hub, click on All Plans, see the new Team plan. Then return to Team, add tab for Planner and the Existing plans drop-down would display the plan for the team. Now the existing plans drop-down is blank.
