Introducing a refreshed design, task chat, and more in Microsoft Planner

To the Microsoft team:

First of all, this is great, long awaited, exciting to see, and very welcome!

Without stretching too far, could I ask for two simple enhancements?

1) Allow “Connect to a goal” across multiple Planner boards

At the moment, “Connect to a goal” feels like another variation of a bucket (which is still useful for grouping tasks). However, enabling this feature to work across multiple Planner boards within the "same group" would be a game-changer.

For example, Marketing and Development could each manage their own Planner boards, while specific tasks from both boards could be linked to a shared goal. This would significantly improve cross-team alignment and outcome tracking.

2) Enable an “@Everyone” tag

It would be extremely helpful to have an “@Everyone” mention so that all users assigned to a task can be notified at once, with a Teams notification and an email. Sending a message without explicit mentions is currently hit‑and‑miss in terms of visibility.

I hope this helps with the further expansion (and the USAGE of-course!) of Planner and the wider community can benefit too
