Do note that as far as my comments on the subject were concerned, I don't believe I said Commenters should not give workaround solutions. As a person who has been in IT for 27 years though not in PCs and have been gaining experience in using Windows for 18 years for my personal use, though I admit I am not an expert, I think I can give my own advice that it is not wise, at least, for the usual layman Windows user to be trying to make Registry changes. I happen to believe it is better to go with Outlook (in this case) as it is designed to work even though most of us are not happy with the changes Microsoft is imposing on their users.
And for the commenter who suggested opening a ticket (I believe was the term) to Microsoft, I have already given my Feedback to Microsoft on this subject. Apparently that is the mechanism that Microsoft wants their users to use.
