Jerryboca,
Check out the entry that OscarST gave earlier, he found that this works:
"Open Registry Editor (type "Registry" into start menu)
Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Common\ExperimentEcs\Overrides\Microsoft.Office.Outlook.Hub.HubBar = "false"
reload Outlook"
Then look for my post also, as I tested this in another location in the registry, just one Hive location above this one.
I also tested it several times, found both to work.
To JimB175,
As a 30+yr experienced senior systems engineer, going back to Windows NT 3.51, I've spent a lot of time in the Windows Registry. It is not at all daunting, or cumbersome. In fact, many reg entries can be scripted very simply.
With the simple instructions OscarST and I both provide (do be sure to Rt click on the reg hive location you are editing, and back it up), this registry edit is very simple, quick, and easy to do. Even if I have to do this every day, to keep my Outlook sidebar in the order that I WANT IT (Boo to Microsoft, and I worked there too), I will do so.
Enjoy,
bc
