As far as I know we do not have any bugs or known issues with search not working in Version 2006 (Build 13001.20266). Abdias is out of office so he asked me to post some next steps.
For any of you that can repro can you please submit the issue via In App support. To do this click Help, Contact Support. This option is only available to Tenant Administrators or Insiders. If you are not a Tenant Administrator or unable to sign in as that account right now another way to switch to Insider is setting a reg key and then going to File, Office Account, Office Insider, Change Channel, and switch to "Current Channel (Preview)". This channel is also on Version 2006. When you submit this way the team is able to get logs to help investigate.
This MVP article has the reg key to switch to Insiders "Current Channel (Preview)", https://www.msoutlook.info/question/office-365-for-business-office-insider-fast-builds. The article also has a reg key download you can pull it down with. I had to create the last three keys manually.
