Today we have an exciting announcement to share about the evolution of Microsoft Outlook for macOS. Don’t have Outlook on your Mac yet? Get the native Outlook for Mac app in the App Store or via dire...
I am furious because I read all the news about Outlook for Mac being free. Even the Apple Website says this as well as their APP store. But after you download it and install it, you get a pop-up that requires that you do a 30 day free trial to Office 365. I hate that but I did do it.
Before the 30 days was up, I canceled the subscription. Then about a week later, I started getting more pop-up windows demanding me to subscribe. I canceled all of them until last night when the Microsoft pop up prevented me from sending out ONE email.
I called Apple and was on the phone for around 90 minutes with no help at all. Every tech support person was mystified. And the fourth one, was downright insulting--he said "Oh we have no control at all over what Microsoft does." To which I said, well then you shouldn't ADVERTISE that it's FREE if it's not. He was infuriating and awful and I'm sorry I didn't get his name.
Here are screen shots.
I do think this is at the very least FALSE ADVERTISING if not fodder for a class action suit against Apple and Microsoft. Please message me if you agree.
I'm sorry to say that I was FORCED to sign up for the subscription which was automatically charged by APPLE after I clicked the link in the Pop-Up window.
