  • Hi - I was on Insider Fast and had an error today that required complete uninstall / reinstall (my Outlook for Mac stopped opening).  I had the full Google connect experience and it was GREAT.  However, now that the support team has helped me re-install Outlook, and I've re-added myself to Insider Fast, I am unable to add Google accounts with the beta functionality.  Is there any action I can take as I use these features to manage my business Google calendar and contacts (so a bit pressing to re-add the functionality I had been using).  Thank you!

    Hi Sunder,

    Thanks for the info.

Is this feature not supported currently supported in Office 2016 for Mac Standalone (from MS VLC)?

How can we get this feature working on that type of license? Its a huge feature request for business users.

  • Hi Alex,

You'll need to re-add your Google account to get the calendar and contact support. Since you already have Google added as IMAP, did you see a prompt telling you Calendar and Contacts are now supported? Can you also check Outlook > About dialog and make sure your application is activated using Office 365 Subscription under License info on the dialog?

    Thanks,

    Sunder

Jeffrey_Kalvass I just set up Insider Slow, I have an O365 subscription, and my Outlook is now 16.11 build 180311.

I have two different Google accounts, one is personal, the other is on an O365 subscription.

Dialog boxes popped up for both accounts asking me to sign in and approve.

After that, I went back to Outlook, but nothing has changed—still no calendars or contacts. I've closed/re-opened the app, nothing.

Is there something I can do to nudge this process along?

    Thanks!

  • Hi Nitin Jain, this feature is currently available only to Insiders (Fast and Slow levels) activated with Office 365 Subscription license.

Is this feature available for people without the office 365 subscription. I am on the office insider fast for almost a year now but haven't received this update yet.

  • Hi John Butterworth. We are rolling out the feature via a mechanism we call flighting. All you need to do is get the latest Insider Slow build, which is 16.11 (180311). If you already have a Google Account added as IMAP in Outlook, a dialog will be displayed when the feature is enabled (when you receive the flight).

    Thanks,

    Jeff

  • Should we have access to this functionality now if we are on the most current version? Not sure what "slowly rolling out" means.
