I'm just glad I don't really use my outlook email at all, I made it just because I had a microsoft account already and I did not start to use it because I already I have multiple mail accounts and I just did not need to use it, but I was about to start... and I'm just glad I did not.
Nobody is removing app password, not even google or apple. Of course there is a reason for that... there are multiple old device and app that need to be able to log in and that cannot be updated.
I only got the mail because Mailspring (that I started to use on my PC because Outlook PC sucks compared to Mail for Windows 10... to be clear there is no All inbox in Outlook PC a basic function that all email client got) do not support oauth 2.0 for outlook (and it use a password for app right now).
FairEmail on my smartphone already support it so that's not the problem.
Still I'm pretty sure they will update to support it since they already do for google and office 365.
But I just find it stupid that for forcing people to use your new Outlook client (that sucks hard) you are removing even a feature that everybody is still using like app password, justifing it as "for your own security"...
That's just stupid.
I will just stop to use my outlook email, I'm just glad I don't need to keep it to receive any email since I was not using it.
