Like the original first responses, this recent transition for Outlook seems to offer as many steps backward as it does improvements! I can see that depreciating some features makes sense, but many Mac users are tired of this never ending wait that we've lived with for too long now! Relegating major features to the web while you "work on it" feels like a continuation of this and only adds to the frustration in reality.
For me it's a complete fail from get go because it fails to migrate a third party account that I cannot simply say "oh well" to! To this end they really need to stop bugging customers (and now forcing on next launch) to upgrade until it is really ready for Prime Time.
- Tasks need to stay within the framework of Outlook due to their unique Scheduling qualities. Or, at least dynamically embedded somehow, so we don't have to continually (and some would say unnecessarily) switch between a multitude of windows!
- If Notes are also due for an upgrade dynamic linkage with a fuller featured solution like OneNote might have greater value here. At the business level OneNote has already seen itself being pulled into the collaborative hub of Teams. Why re-invent here, and again, linkage should be embedded to the point that links to notes open a real App like OneNote.
