I was also "FORCED" into the (so-called) New Outlook, but was able to switch back to the 'legacy' Outlook, however it did change the default account to my hotmail (MS account) which was easily changed back.
Its some considerable way from being 'prime-time' ready IMHO.
I've been taking the very occasional look at the (so-called) new outlook and so many 'fundamental' features still missing.
Clearly MS does NOT have this as a priority as its been (so-called) NEW for over 2 years!!
I have been using eMClient for some of my email accounts, and that's not a bad fit as an alternative.
At this stage, I still have 30 years of archived email history in 'ON MY COMPUTER' (albeit backed up offline also) and that will NEVER EVER be uploaded to MS servers!
The dates for delivery of the ON MY COMPUTER keep sliding out - now reported as 'in progress' and delivery in MAY 2023.
I'll believe it when I see it!
