I too was a CIO with a French multinational before retiring, and had quite a lot to do with MS with global implementation of Exchange/Office, along with other MS technologies.
Given the performance on the Outlook Mac 'debacle' I likewise would be making it clear to MS corporate that they would be in danger of losing a significant global account based on their performance on Outlook Mac if I were in that role today!
It seems clear by their actions (or lack thereof), that MS do not see this as important, and I'm surprised some larger MS accounts are not applying some real pressure in MS corporate as there are a lot of large organizations that have MAC users in their BYOD policies.
One wonders how long they will support the 'real' version of Outlook Mac...
In the meantime, I have been looking closely at em-Client as 'plan-B'. While not ideal, it is an option if MS pulls-the-plug on the only wroking version of Outlook for Mac...
