Yes Keith, its a sad litany of disappointed Outlook users, that extends over a long period of time!
It seems MS has not prioritized effort to get the (so-called) new outlook to provide at least the current functionality in the 'old outlook' and has in-effect been using the 365 subscribers as beta testers!
The absolute SHOW STOPPER for me is the "On My Computer" file-store which houses 30 years of historic emails for me. There is no way I will EVER move these to a Microsoft server (off-shore). Last I read (somewhere in this blog) MS was saying On My Computer will not be coming to the new outlook.
The alternatives for me are back to Mac mail (not preferred) or I have been trialing (with a paid license) eM Client, which so far is pretty functional. I have been running them in parallel, but have not migrated the file-store history across.
I'm not even sure the MS people who have influence over the dev even read this blog...
