Hello Everybody,
I am using only the new outlook in my New MacBook Pro 13"(with Apple Silicon M1) since when IMAP accounts started to be supported. I have simultaneous multiple accounts being two IMAPS, one GMAIL, one iCloud and one Outlook.com. They all work very well.
The appearance and look and fell of the new Outlook is very good and the speed and overall functionality is getting better.
What I miss the most are:
1 - The ability to create contacts from e-mails that I receive (I cannot right click on the contacts in e-mails and select open Outlook Contact to be directed to the edit, create and save pop up window.
2 - The ability to categorize any e-mail as you have in the traditional Outlook.
Another thing that is happening (and this is a serious issue) is the lack of synchronization between the (a) Outlook for Windows that I have in my Dell PC with Windows 10, (b) traditional Outlook for Mac that I use in an older MacBook Pro with an Intel Chip and the (c) New Outlook for Mac. This happens just FOR IMAP ACCOUNTS.
Google, iCloud and Outlook.com accounts do not present this issue. Then description of the problems is bellow:
While the e-mails for (a) and (b) are always synchronized in my other computers for all my IMAP Accounts i.e, I can see what I have sent in both of my machines that use Outlook for Windows and the traditional Outlook for Mac, in the new one (c), the e-mails sent - be them sent from (a) or for (b) - are not visible in the new Outlook for Mac. Conversely, the same happens when I send e-mails from (c) the New Outlook for Mac, they are not visible as sent items in (a) or (b), but in any of the above cases, the e-mails are effectively sent to the destinies.
Best Regards,
Beck
