I wish you were correct, but I believe those links refer to the Old Outlook, not the New Outlook.
I have had IMAP and POP3 on the Old Outlook for a very long time, but it does not work in the New Outlook, just as everyone has been reporting.
If I am incorrect I would love someone to enlighten me and point to how it is achieved.
Come on Microsoft some replies from your people to these comments would be really helpful. At the moment all I see is the vast majority of people who know what is required giving objective suggestions and recommendations, but no response from Microsoft. There has been posted a link to the Outlook roadmap, but it does not seem to address most of the necessary functionality that is missing from the New Outlook.
This is a perfect platform to have discontent breed and fester. It is also the platform to do the opposite, BUT Microsoft you have to take the lead to ensure there is no festering discontent.
